Much like you I have thought a lot about the presence of violence and hate in our world…. I wonder if like Newtons Third Law, that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, the same holds true for love and hate. For peace and violence. For life and death.
What if the reason we have acts of violence, pain and suffering is to facilitate the desire for more peace, more joy and love in the world? That our hearts and minds open far beyond expectations and life experiences. That it is evolutionary and related to universal energy. The continuum. Nothing personal. Just the universes way of rising in consciousness.
There was a time when it was unheard of to marry outside of your religion or race. There was a time when it was unheard of to be openly gay let alone be transgender. There was a time when people didn’t understand the beauty of Down’s syndrome. Albeit, progress is lacking in some regions of the world, it is healthy and celebrated in others.
The Holocaust was an event like no other, yet there are countless documented acts of love, kindness, inspiration and extreme acts of bravery that resulted.
What if upon our own experiences of pain and suffering we do the exact opposite of what we want to do…curl up, create a wall, stuff the pain down….what if we open ourselves to alleviating the suffering of others, or become more loving? Instead of blocking the energy we release it.
In my limited scope, I feel like we are being called to extend our notion of what love is and how it presents itself. To release and know pureness of heart and intention without qualification.
I can only conclude that there are no boundaries nor ways in which love, the Divine expresses Itself.
